Cam Chalmers

Small software, built and run end to end.

Four products built for scout groups, community groups and the volunteers who run them: safety compliance for buildings and vehicles, hall bookings, and knowing where everyone is. Native iOS where it matters, a web app alongside it, and a database I look after myself.

BuildingSafe

Safety compliance logging for your building. Record the routine checks, like fire alarm tests, drills, emergency lighting and inspections, and get a nudge before the next one falls due.

VehicleSafe

The same idea for a fleet. Daily walkarounds, MOT, tax, insurance and service dates, defects and what was done about them, and the licence of everyone who drives.

HallManager

Booking management for community halls, scout huts and event spaces. Everything from the public request form to deposits, payment, invoicing and the calendar, all in one place.

Whereabouts

Live locations on a map, updated as people move, plus a GPS timeline and mileage log. The iOS app records journeys with the screen off and keeps a record of everywhere you've been.

Side projects

Tube delay refunds

Upload your Oyster journey history and it finds the trips delayed by 15 minutes or more, using TfL's own Journey Planner times, so you can claim a refund before the 28-day window closes.

Balloon debate

A picker for a balloon debate night. Everyone claims one person to defend, taken names lock for everyone else, and an organiser can edit the list and reset the room.
